Jeopardy Job 

STEPS Employment can assist people who are at risk of losing their employment as a result of illness, injury or disability.


Jobs in Jeopardy participants receive face to face support, as well as assistance such as:

  • advice about redesigning your job so you can keep working

  • having your workplace assessed to see how it can be changed to make it easier for you to work

  • changing your workplace environment so you can continue to work

  • assisting employers purchase specialised equipment to help you do your job.

  • monitoring your progress until you can return to normal hours of employment or alternative hours of employment

  • liaising with your treating health professional

  • negotiating a graduated return to work where appropriate


Who is eligible?

People are eligible for a job in jeopardy program if they are:

  • aged between 14 and 65 years of age

  • an Australian citizen or permanent resident

  • likely to be at risk of losing their job in the immediate future due to their disability, injury or health condition

  • have been employed in their job for at least eight hours per week on average over the previous 13 weeks.
